Clothing is expensive. It pays (really pays) to take proper care. The attached list of laundry problems and solutions will come in handy as you try to accomplish this task. Beyond their cost, we actually get attached to our clothing and have favorites so taking steps to make them last will keep those favorites in your wardrobe a lot longer.

Things like pH balance in your washing products, cold water washing and , believe it or not, reducing the amount of product you use, can all help. If you use bleach (but why would you with all of the alternatives available), bleach only every third or fourth time you wash. Make those clothes last by taking great care in the laundry products you choose.
